About Our Leather

Think of leather as a blank canvas. Since leather is a natural material, each piece of leather will have slightly different character, texture, and markings. Over time the leather will mold and conform to your pattern of use and tell your unique story. The more you use it, the better it looks.

Full-grain Leather

Full-grain leather is the highest quality grade of leather available anywhere. Unlike lesser grades of leather such as “top-grain” or “genuine leather”, full-grain leather has the complete natural grain intact which makes it the strongest and most durable type of leather. Over time it will develop a beautiful patina as it ages and will last for many years of use.

We use full-grain leather for all of our leather products.

Leather Care & Maintenance

With full grain leather products, there is no actual need to fully care for the product—essentially there is no maintenance. The natural aging that occurs is the most beautiful part of ownership. During that process, the care is up to the owner and their specific preferences about the way the product appears over time.

We recommend not applying any oil or conditioner to the product for the first year of ownership, which ensures patina will set in naturally over time. If you notice the leather is unusually dry, a natural leather balm applied lightly over the surface should do the trick.
