"I love my Discbound Journal and use it constantly. I lost track of how many journals I bought the last 10 years and I literally will never get another one again after this."

The Ugmonk Way

These principles guide everything we design, make, and ship.
A man in a black shirt sits at a desk writing on paper, with a computer monitor in front of him and books and magazines on shelves in the background.

Less, but better

We believe in investing in fewer, better things that are well made and delightful to use.
A red building with a stone base has a window and a door labeled 806. A black sign above the door reads UGMONK DESIGN STUDIO. Outdoor chairs are visible in the foreground.

Slow & Steady

We've been slowly building for 17 years, taking our time to get each product right instead of chasing trends.
A person uses a ruler and utility knife to cut paper on a cluttered desk with design sketches, a clock, boxes, and drawing tools, in a workspace lit by natural light.

Design in the details

We sweat the small stuff: the weight, the feel, the materials. Because that's where good design actually lives.
